कराग्रे वसते लक्ष्मी
करमध्ये सरस्वती।
करमूले तु गोविन्दं
प्रभाते करदर्शनम्।।

हिंदी अर्थ: लक्ष्मी माता हमारे हाथ के अंगुलियों के अग्रभाग में वास करती है, सरस्वती माता हमारे हाथों के बीच में वास करती है, भगवान गोविन्द अर्थ विष्णु हमारे हाथों की जड़ में वास करते हैं, सुबह के समय उनका दर्शन करना चाहिए। इस श्लोक का मूल अर्थ है कि हमें समृद्धि, ज्ञान, और भगवान की शरण में कार्य करना चाहिए ताकि हमारा जीवन संपूर्ण और शुभ हो।

Karagre vasate Lakshmi,
karamadhye Saraswati,
Karamoole tu Govindam,
prabhāte karadarshanam.

English Meaning: At the tip of the hand resides Goddess Lakshmi, in the middle of the hand resides Goddess Saraswati. At the base of the hand resides Lord Govinda. Therefore, in the morning, one should have a look at one’s hands. The essence of this shloka is that one should start their day by acknowledging the presence of Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth and prosperity, at the tip of their fingers; Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge and wisdom, in the middle of their fingers; and Lord Govinda (a name for Lord Krishna), as the foundation of their actions. This acknowledgment is believed to bring blessings and positivity for the day ahead.
